Our Mission Includes Supporting Rural America

At High Plains, success has always been about more than the bottom line. As a mission-based lender, High Plains Farm Credit is committed to being a good and caring community neighbor. We are a committed supporter of the rural communities where we live and work alongside our customers. Long-established cooperative principles allow us the privilege to be actively engaged in industries and programs important to our customers.

Our support includes schools, agricultural organizations, county fairs, and many other clubs that help keep our communities strong and vibrant. Do you have an organization that is important to you? If so, we encourage you to reach out to us for consideration of support for that organization. Be sure to check out all of the ways we are involved in our communities below. We look forward to continuing to add to that list!

We're More Than Agricultural Loans

While our vision is to be the preferred source of agricultural financing, we understand that serving the best people in the world, farmers and ranchers, is not our only responsibility. Everyone must chip in to help keep a rural community working. Many of our employees serve as 4-H leaders, volunteers, church leaders, coaches, and school board members. Look at some of the ways our staff have contributed to their community below.

Sponsoring Agricultural Events & Scholarships

While supporting many organizations that share our love for agriculture is important to us, we also sponsor conferences and different events that our producers would benefit from attending. One event in particular, Women Managing the Farm, is a conference that provides a supportive setting in which women can develop the skills, resources and knowledge needed for success in a competitive agricultural environment period. In fact, we will reimburse the registration fee to those customers that attend… so be sure to inform us if you go!

Giving Back

As you have already seen, High Plains Farm Credit and their staff are very active in the towns they call home. One of the best times to make a positive impact in someone’s life is during the Christmas season. It is a time to reflect on the importance of giving back to the people in our communities. That’s why each year our offices choose a local charity to assist using their time and/or by donation. We call it our Giving Back Program. We look forward to continuing this program each year to positively impact as many people as we can.
