On July 17, 1916 President Woodrow Wilson signed the Federal Farm Loan Act and Farm Credit was born. Soon after Farm Credit was created, the very first Farm Credit loan was made to A.L. Stockwell in Larned, KS. High Plains Farm Credit is a proud member of the Larned community and the national Farm Credit System.
Since 1916, we have been fully devoted to agricultural financing. With over 80 employees, we serve over 4,100 farmers, ranchers and agribusinesses with $1.8 billion of loan volume serviced. We understand the impact agriculture and Farm Credit have in our rural communities. All of our decisions are local, not made in some distant location, and our focus is on helping you achieve success right here in Kansas.
