Bjorn Halderson, VP Loan OfficerWhy did you choose to work at High Plains?
My background is in education and I grew up on a family farm. HPFC is a perfect blend of two of my passions; agriculture and empowerment. The services HPFC offers opens doors for its customers, making their visions and dreams obtainable.

What is the best part about working at High Plains?
HPFC is centered around family.  The flexibility and support HPFC extends to its customers to make sure their needs are being met, is the same philosophy extended to the staff and their families at home. You are only as good as the people you have around you.

What is your favorite part of your job?
Going out and meeting customers, cultivating relationships, learning their history, hearing their stories, their successes, their hardships. A life in agriculture comes with much success, and no shortage of difficulties. There’s nothing more rewarding than coming back to the office and knowing I’m doing my part to help this generation make another story for the next.

What is your business philosophy?
My business philosophy is founded on these 5 core values: Honest, Integrity, Work Ethic, Collaboration , and Accountability.

What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
Most of my time away from work is spent with my family on our farm. My wife Miranda and I have three boys; Lane, Dylan, and Brody who are very active in athletics. We also enjoy outdoor activities such as hunting and camping.
