Why did you choose to work at HPFC?
I majored in Accounting at FHSU and always thought I would work at an accounting firm. I worked with a friend who completed an internship with Farm Credit. She couldn’t stop talking about what a great company Farm Credit was to work for and convinced me to sign up for an on-campus interview. That was over 20 years ago!
What is the best part about working at HPFC?
My favorite part of working for High Plains is my coworkers. They are my daytime family.
What is your favorite part of your job?
My favorite part of my job is each day is different from the next. Accounting may seem like just numbers, but I love the opportunity to dive into the ripple effect of each entry. I enjoy my office which is right next to the front door. It gives me the opportunity to catch up with customers as they come in. Some have known me since birth and others have kids the same ages as mine.
What is your business philosophy?
My business philosophy is to believe in your business and employees. Having grown up on a farm, I believe strongly in the products and services we provide and I believe our employees are the key to our success.
What do you like to do when you’re not at work?
With three boys, you will usually find me at a sporting event or helping with 4-H animals when I am not at work. I love to camp when we have a free weekend!
