The numbers are in and we have the official results of the 2024 Director Elections. We are excited to congratulate one returning member on reelection while welcoming several new members of the High Plains Farm Credit Board of Directors.
Election Results – By the Numbers
This year, HPFC stockholders returned just shy of 340 ballots (19%) electronically or by mail from 1,739 eligible voting stockholders. As of the close of elections on July 2, 2024, a quorum was reached in accordance with association bylaws. These seats have been certified by Survey and Ballot Systems acting as independent tabulator.
This year, voting stockholders reelected, Jon Herrmann of Kinsley to serve a 4-year term representing Territory 2. The HPFC family has also welcomed three new members to our board of directors.
Brooks Hanson of Larned will represent Territory 1 during a 4-year term, commenting that, “It’s an honor to be elected to serve on the HPFC Board of Directors. I look forward to helping HPFC continue to serve the lending needs of agriculture in our region.”
Matt Miller of Utica will represent Territory 2 during a 4-year term. He indicated his appreciation for the new position. “It is an honor to be elected to the High Plains Farm Credit Board of Directors. I look forward to serving my fellow stockholders in the coming years,” Miller said.
Christa Milton of Hudson was elected to serve a 3-year term representing Territory 2 and said, “It’s an honor to have been elected to serve. I am excited to continue the tradition of building a great company for our stakeholders, learn from others, and bring my perspective to the board.”
Congratulations to the returning and new members of our board of directors. We would like to convey our sincere appreciation to those who agreed to serve as director candidates, nominating committee members and candidates, and to all those stockholders who cast their ballots. As participants in the election process, you play an important role in the success of High Plains Farm Credit.

Supporting Kansas FFA Through the 2024 Director Elections
Even as we recognize the impact of election participation on the direction of our association, the High Plains Farm Credit team looks to the future of the agriculture industry as a whole.
Future Farmers of America (FFA) plays a key role in the growth of our rural communities as the organization strives towards its mission of developing students’ potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agricultural education.
In support of this mission, High Plains Farm Credit has donated $25 per ballot received to the Kansas FFA Foundation. This year, we are excited to announce a total donation of $10,000!
Thank you to our stockholders for participating in this election. Your vote is crucial to the future of agriculture. Please review the High Plains Farm Credit 2024 Director Election Results to see the impact of your decisions. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
