About Our Program

This paid internship is a 10- to 12-week program that typically begins in late May and extends through mid-August.

Opportunities span six offices in the High Plains Farm Credit service area and allow interns to work closely with a mentor. This individual offers expertise and experience in your chosen field.

Throughout the program, we encourage our interns to evaluate our company as a potential employer. We, in turn, approach the experience as a long-term job interview.

Career Fair and Interview Tips From the Recruiter

Create a great first impression with a clean, professional appearance.
Extend a “firm” handshake, maintain eye contact, speak with confidence, and turn off your cell phone.

To help break the ice and calm your nerves, prepare a one or two minute introduction about yourself and the position you’re seeking.

Know which companies will be at the event. Research the websites of those you would like to visit with and prepare a few questions about each company.
Bring several extra copies of your resume in a folder or portfolio to help keep your documents organized.

Tip: Utilize Career Services to help critique and provide valuable feedback about your resume.
