Kevin has served as President and Chief Executive Officer since January 2017. Prior to that, he served as Chief Financial Officer of High Plains from 2011 – 2016. He has been employed in the Farm Credit System since 1995. Kevin has held numerous leadership positions in the Farm Credit System. He currently serves as Chairman of the Board and Audit Committee for AgVantis, Inc., a Farm Credit technology service provider which serves 7 Associations in 4 states. Kevin also serves on the Farm Credit Foundations Trust Committee providing fiduciary oversight of the human resources collaboration which serves more than 10,000 Farm Credit employees in 41 states.
Kevin’s background is rooted in finance and agriculture. After graduating from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS, he began his banking career while earning his MBA from Wichita State University. Kevin grew up on a dairy farm near Bogue, KS and is still involved in his family’s farming operation in Northwest Kansas. Kevin and his wife, Jo, live in Hays, KS and have two grown sons. He enjoys spending time with his family, farming and traveling.
Roger was named Chief Credit Officer in July 2016. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Credit from 2000-2016. Roger began his career with Farm Credit as an FICB Trainee in 1984 after graduating from Fort Hays State University with a degree in agri-business. His lending career began as a loan officer for the PCA of South Central Kansas, the precursor to High Plains Farm Credit, in Dodge City. After a few years, he moved to the Central Kansas area where he served in various lending and management roles for Farm Credit. Going to work for High Plains Farm Credit in 2000 presented an opportunity to come full circle in his banking career, as he was back to the Association he originally started in.
Roger grew up in the South Central Kansas region and his career has allowed him the opportunity to still call it home today. His wife, Mary, also grew up in the area. They have two grown daughters, Lauren and Sarah. In his spare time, he enjoys farming and ranching and spending time with his family.
Rob was named Chief Lending Officer in January 2017. Prior to 2017, he served as a Vice President. Rob attended Hutchinson Community College and then graduated from Kansas State University with a degree in agri-business. He then began his Farm Credit career as a loan officer in 1993.
Rob grew up on a wheat and cattle farm in Kingman County where he attended Cunningham High School. Rob and his wife, Sheila, live in Kingman, KS and have three daughters, Allie, Grace and Marissa. In his spare time, Rob enjoys traveling, farming and spending time with family and friends.
Travis was named Chief Risk Officer in January 2017. He joined High Plains as a Pratt loan officer in 2011. His Farm Credit career began in 2008 with US AgBank in Wichita. He is a Kansas State University and Wichita State graduate, earning a BS in Animal Science and a BBA in Finance.
Travis and his wife, Michelle, live in Hays, KS with their two children, Trenton and Maycie. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, hunting and fishing. Travis appreciates the importance of agriculture in our everyday lives and takes pride in what Farm Credit does to help producers feed the world.
John was named Chief Financial Officer in January 2021. After attending Fort Hays State University, he began his career in education, eventually transitioning into the accounting field and earning his Certified Public Accountant credential.
John took advantage of an opportunity to become the Controller for High Plains Farm Credit in December 2017 after gaining over 3 years of experience working at a local public accounting firm. Growing up in a small town in Western Kansas, agriculture permeated virtually every aspect of daily life, giving him an appreciation of what farmers and ranchers do each and every day.
John, and his wife, Tonya, have two children, Addison and Gabriel. They enjoy the fact that they are able to raise a family close to the same small town where they each grew up. When he’s not working, John enjoys spending time with family and friends.
