At High Plains Farm Credit, you’re more than a customer. You’re an owner in our cooperative. As a customer-stockholder, you have the right to participate in director elections and to vote on issues that influence the operations of our association.
About the Board
Passionate individuals elected to represent the best interests of customer-stockholders, High Plains Farm Credit, and rural Kansas. That’s the HPFC Board of Directors.
The group meets regularly to set policy for the association and to provide overall direction for our leadership team. Meetings are held as a large group and as smaller committees that divide work for greater efficiency.

Board of Directors
Board Committees
Board committees function primarily in an advisory role but also have the ability to make recommendations and decisions. Each committee meets in person and by telephone conference calls throughout the year.
The HPFC Board of Directors has established the following committees. Select each one to view the committee charter.
Electing the Board
The HPFC Board of Directors consists of both stockholder-elected directors and board-appointed directors that represent our service area’s two regions. Terms are four years in length and elections take place in late spring each year.
Customer-stockholders can participate in the election process to make a difference in the future of our organization.
- 1The HPFC Nominating Committee selects board candidates and future nominating committee candidates.
- 2Candidates are announced early in the year.
- 3Director election ballots are mailed, emailed, or texted following the HPFC Annual Meeting in late spring.
- 4Election closes one month later.
- 5Votes are counted and seats are certified by independent tabulator, Survey and Ballot Systems.
- 6Election results are announced to customer-stockholders.
Nominating Committee
Members of the nominating committee serve one-year terms and are responsible for the review and selection of board and nominating committee candidates. Voting stockholders have the ability to participate in our cooperative structure by serving on the nominating committee.
Contact the HPFC team for more information about serving on the nominating committee.

High Plains Farm Credit employees and directors follow a published code of ethics. The standard is based on the principles of honesty and operating with integrity in every action we take and every business decision we make.
