Abby Lloyd, Capital Markets Servicing SpecialistWhy did you choose to work at HPFC?

Growing up in agriculture, I knew I wanted to work somewhere that supported local AG communities. I landed an internship in the Farm Credit System while I was in college, and from there I knew I wanted to work in the FCS. An opportunity with HPFC came up where I would be able to utilize my degree to its fullest capacity and serve the farmers and ranchers I grew up with!

What is the best part about working at HPFC?

The people! I could not have hoped for a better team to work with, who push me every day to expand my knowledge of agriculture and the role it plays in various industries.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I enjoy the fact that I learn something new almost every day! The variety of industries I am exposed to being in Capital Markets makes each day a new challenge and learning opportunity.

What is your business philosophy?

If you’re not learning, you’re not growing.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?

I am a huge fan of sunshine and books, so outside of work you’ll likely find me on my porch with a book, walking my dog, or doing some sort of outside project. My fiancé and I both coach sports, so you also might spot me at the gym or in the football stands come fall/winter. Both of us graduated from K-State (Go Cats!), so we spend a lot of time in Manhattan.
