Why did you choose to work at HPFC?
Making the decision to leave the commercial banking world for Farm Credit was difficult at first. However, once I began to meet those I’d be working with, learned more about the way High Plains Farm Credit treats their employees, and listened to existing employee experiences, it became clear this was the right choice for me and my family.
What is the best part about working at HPFC?
The respect garnered by High Plains Farm Credit in the industry makes this the best place to work as an ag lender. I’m proud to wear our logo and I feel valued by my peers and our Executive Leadership.
What is your favorite part of your job?
When dealing with my customers’ operations, I’m dealing with and helping their families directly. Agriculture is unique due to the direct correlation of operation to home life, and I make it my mission to treat my borrowers and their families with the respect they deserve.
What is your business philosophy?
I strive to deliver excellent customer service to my borrowers through open communication and the dedication to learn about them and their operation. I may not know everything about the operation when we first meet but I promise to listen and do the best I can to personalize our lending to maximize their operation’s future.
What do you like to do when you are not at work?
Outside of work, my favorite thing to do is spend time with my wife and two sons. Between our faith, love for sports, and busy schedules, there isn’t too much time left at the end of each day. When I do occasionally have a lull in the action, I love to play golf.
