Why did you choose to work at HPFC?

I didn’t grow up on a farm, but I’ve lived in Kansas my whole life. Growing up, my friends and I would travel down country roads surrounded by farmland, just enjoying the peaceful scenery. I enjoyed spending every Christmas on my aunt and uncle’s farm, surrounded by extended family, playing outside, hearing only the cattle in the background.

My husband was raised on a farm in Northwestern Kansas, and we would often go back to his family farm to help when needed and then enjoy the peacefulness on the porch after a hard day’s work. The agricultural community is very important to both my husband and me. They are the heart and soul of this country, full of hardworking, caring, and dedicated individuals willing to help a passing stranger in need. Working at HPFC means I can give back to the agricultural community that has surrounded me my entire life, and it’s an honor to be able to help in any way I can.

What is the best part about working at HPFC?

HPFC is full of hardworking people who are willing to step in and help when needed. My first week on the job, a coworker from a different branch office called to welcome me and give me advice on the work I would be doing. That’s the level of dedication, helpfulness, and caring I’ve seen from everyone I’ve met.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I love that my job has variety, from working on different projects to interacting with different people each day.

What is your business philosophy?

Keep your focus on the big picture: what you need to do to get there and what you can do to help others get there as well.

What do you like to do when you are not at work?

I’ve always loved the simple things in life, so when I’m not at work, that’s what I enjoy. I love watching a beautiful Kansas sunset, playing games with my kids, snuggling up on the couch with my dog, enjoying a nice home-cooked meal, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
