Why did you choose to work at HPFC?
After working in the swine industry for 11 years and graduating with my degree in animal science from K-State, I knew I wanted to remain in the agriculture industry. With my degree in genetics, I have a love of numbers and saw an opportunity to combine my love of agriculture and numbers in HPFC! I had heard how great of an organization they are to work for and was excited by the opportunity to become a part of the team!
What is the best part about working at HPFC?
The people! I have met some great people and love that everyone lifts each other up! I love the community atmosphere that HPFC creates!
What is your favorite part of your job?
I have enjoyed the challenge of learning new things while working in an area I love!
What is your business philosophy?
Don’t make excuses, make improvements. I feel every one of us (especially myself) can always continue to learn and grow. There isn’t always one right way to do something either.
What do you like to do when you are not at work?
First and foremost, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our one-and four-year-olds. With any free time we have, I love spending it outside, gardening, taking care of our animals, and teaching my kids to love the outdoors. I also am passionate about giving back to my community through volunteering.
